Title: Ranking Glitch?

I was at the rank of Commander, but when it went to promote me again, it reduced my rank to Lt. Commander.  After playing a little more, I got another promotion that gave me a redundant rank of Lt. Commander.  Why is this?

Don't use the same pilot file for multiple mods.  Eventually you will end up with bad things happening to your pilot file and the game crashing because of it.

If you want to use the same file, just clone it and then add a little blip or something to the end to differentiate.  Use one for retail, the other for mods.

I would use the same file but I prefer to shoot other missiles besides Tempests when I do.

Galemp and I were once "promoted" to Ensign on FSPort multiplayer. That was a bundle of laughs.

Excellent work, pilot. You kicked ass better than half the fleet. We still won't forgive you for spitting in Command's coffee, though.

That happens all the time.  There's a bug in multi that will promote you and give you medals is you loose contact to FS2netD while playing.  Supposed to be fixed in FS2netD 2.5.
