Title: Freespace Animation
Post by: deathfun on April 23, 2009, 02:38:46 pm
Anyone here experienced in either Maya 3D, Lightwave 3D or other [quality] 3D modeling programs?
If so, I could really use your help.

I am making a Freespace based flash animation and could use all the help I can possibly get. I figured there would be someone out there who has used this program before on this forum, so I figured I would give it a shot.

Anyone up for the task?

About half the people here.

But not me. I'm useless.  :p

I've done a FS2 flash animation for the most fun A+ project I've ever had anything to do with.

3d-wise I'm about as useful as a brick.

I find it blasphemy that those sentences belong in the same post...

Maybe that just proves my idiocy :P

Do you still have it?

Do you realise how useful a brick can be, I once recieved a birthday gift of a brick and a book called "A 101 uses for a brick" (handwritten). Granted only 20 or so were fiiled out but the rest were for me to find. A mental excercise if you wish.

Wow. That animation was actually pretty kickass. Loved the Starcraft unit sounds.

Ooh, nice work.

I actually made an FS-themed Flash animation for a class a couple years ago... it's dull compared to this one, and a lot of the ships are just screenshots I took in-game, but I was kinda short on time for the project. I'll post it when I get the chance.

But to the original poster... sorry, I probably can't help you much there.

i think that the cyclops bomb moments were a little over done in the animation though.

There are indeed easier ways to host a .swf format... either way

Great animation. Now I will have something to compare to and try to do better then
This should be interesting...

Screw hard work, I can get away with a funny woosh-lines background and a few billion antimatter bombs.
