So this mission I've been working on for the past week or so is finally coming together. I just have to tweak a few things... and combat is one of them. I can't do anything properly with that though since none of the bombers in this mission actually bomb their targets. They do the ADD thing where they kind of fly towards their target and go "ooh enemy fighter" and fly off to attack them instead.
What the hell? Am I missing something? Their initial orders are to attack the ships I want. Does this require add-goal SEXPs?

Try increasing the AI to General and/or no dynamic goals.
-
should work... maybe you dropped a clear-orders sexp for those bombers somewhere during the attack ?
can happen in a really big mission
-
Try increasing the order priority to 100
-
Be warned that putting the priority above 89 means that the player can't give the ship orders any more.
-
Yes, I was just suggesting that to see if it had an effect. The ships who have an order priority 90+ don't have any adverse effects do they other than the player not being able to order them?
-
Nothing suggested works. They're not even firing their bombs at their targets.
-
Check their load-out, what are they armed with?

Make a mission (as simple as you can make it while still 'keeping the bug alive'). Post it here.

Yep, that's really the best solution. I've got your version of the mission Cobra but a simplified version makes fixing this a lot easier.
