Sounds plausible to me, especially since it's based on experimental data.

Technically, however, they're all one force past unification energy.

strong nuclear, gravity and electroweak.
electromagnetism and the weak force have been found to be the same thing.

It talks about the electroweak coupling. And strong's been unified too, I think...

But unification isn't really relevant at these low energy levels due to symmetry breaking.

So no, it doesn't fail.

The fail is you, look up GUT. So far strong, weak and electromagnetic force have been found to be the same above a certain energy density. Gravity is strongly suspected to join in as well, and proving that is currently the holy grail of physics,
