Hi all
Today I tried to start a multiplayergame with the free BtRL demo. I have an account on FS2NetD I also typed the account datas in the multiplayerfield in the game itself.
http://www.game-warden.com/matthewpapa/launcher4.jpg This field I mean, but in BtRL and not Freespace 2.
In the launcher I enabled the internet connection and typed port 12001 and IP 64.92.160.250. I started the game, but it doesn't list any servers. When I host a game my room mate can't see it, so what do I wrong?
I forwarded ports 7117 via UDP and TCP and port 7808 via UDP and TCP in my router and also disabled the windows firewall.

You should post that question on Game Warden.
Anyway, to play BtrL in MP use the default 3.6.9 builds, the port you need to forward and to enter in the field is 7808, iirc.
BtrL lacks the lobby files, so it can't be played with 3.6.10, afaik.
-
Where do I get these builds and how do I have to install them over the BtRL demo?

3.6.9 is the build that comes with the demo, it should be already in your base folder.
-
Ah yeah, just see them in my BtRL main folder, but I still can't see others servers and my room mate can't see my game. Do I have to downöoad or to set up anything else, that I don't know?
-
It's sadly rarely anyone playing BtrL, that's why you can't see any servers.
Try hosting one, check FS2Netd if it shows your Server, should your mate still can't see your server, then it's probably because:
a) you didn't forward the port 7808 TCP/ UDP correctly
and/ or
b) you both are playing from the same router
Not sure if there's a solution for b).
Maybe you should post on GW for technical help. :)

I Checked FS2NetD and my game is displayed there, but my room mate still can't see it, so it is the router which makes it impossible to play with him :(
I will ask on game warden although it is nearly no activity there.

/me wonders when we became the tech support board for BtRL.
You may be able to get things to work if you use the launcher's force port ability and change your friend's port to 7809. Alternatively if you're both on the same router you could just play without PXO. Your stats won't save but you should be able to see each other.
-
I'm not a professional with the launcher, so what do I have to do to play without PXO?
-
It's not a launcher setting. Run the game. Press F2 -> Multi -> Uncheck the PXO button. Make sure your friend does that too.

We tried that today, but it doesn't work. Any advice what to do?

You could try entering each other's IP address to the list on that screen but you shouldn't need to.
That said you are using 3.6.9 and it had all kind of multiplayer bugs that are now dead.

We also tried that, but none of that worked.
