Title: Problems with FRED and OpenGL

Currently, I can't use FRED Open because it gives me an error stating I have OpenGL 1.1 and I need 1.2. I've tried multiple ways (from downloading a later verion of OpenGL to getting the latest drivers from my video card company), but so far I've failed, I'll leave out my attempts for now, but if anyone neesd to know I can elaborate.

Does anyone know an easy fix for this?

What graphics card and drivers do you have? And what version of FS2_Open?

I have the latest version; 3.6.10. I have NVidia 8600GT. But as for the drviers I'm not entirely sure how to set it up, but as part of my attempts I got the latest drivers from NVidia for my card, so I have all those files.
