Mods (New models) count in a new capaign?
Do you have to have new ship or not?
-
You don't have buuuuuuuut... :doubt:
-
I quite like those without mods. Since I'm an active multiplayer as well, i really hate renaming the tables folder every time I want to play.

It's nice, but hardly essential.

Actually he was quoting me. I know I can, but for some @£$€%&! reason FS tells me that the tables have been hacked, unless i move every table to the data/table folder (no extra tables in .vp files).
-
well, actually, I have a fuill data folder for each campaign I have installed, plus one for a "clean" fs2 :)
-
i just installed fs2 twice, one for regular fs2, the other for whatever mod i please
-
Throwing in a mod just because it is cool-looking tends not to produce the best results. Mods should be used if and when the plot calls for them. But if the plot does call for them, by all means put them in!
Also, too many souped-up ships can actually have a negative effect on gameplay.

tablestooriginal.bat
Rename tables original
originaltotables.bat
Rename original tables

Place these bats in your data dir, create shortcuts on your desktop to both bats and all you have to do is to click or double-click, depending on your Win click setup
If you want to move the Vpfiles out of there
Use the move command. Like
MOVE MOD.VP C:\fs2\Vpstorage\
&
MOVE MOD.VP C:\fs2\
Batch programming is really handy when it comes automate file administration tasks.

Story is first priority of the campaign. If a campaign is loaded with new ships but a crappy story... sure it looks cool at first, but noones going to keep playing to see the rest of your ships because the story sucks.
-
I would say that mission play-balancing is the most important (gameplay is king, after all :D) followed closely by a detailed and plausible story.

Agreed. :)
