what are some good tv shows that you can now watch on the internet (legally)?
I have a few
1 Arrested Development (http://www.hulu.com/arrested-development)
"In this critically acclaimed series, Michael Bluth is forced to help his wildly eccentric family pick up the pieces after its wealthy patriarch is arrested and its assets frozen."
it just might be the funniest show ever!
2. Firefly (http://www.hulu.com/firefly)
"The Crew of a starship travel through outer space after Earth's resources have diminished and forced us to look elsewhere in 2517. Captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds (Nathan Fillion) steers his bandit-crew through anything to keep them alive, and keep flying."
it got canceled after afew episodes, but its still worth watching. they made a movie to tie up the story-lines called Serenity (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0379786/). it's one of my favorite movies.
3. Babylon 5 (http://www.hulu.com/babylon-5)
"Politics, diplomacy and conflict converge at the Babylon 5 space station from which the popular science fiction television series centers."
My favorite Sci-fi show ever. the first season is really cheap and a little boring, but if you can bare though it you will be greatly rewarded. the story is a great sci-fi epic. they only have the first two seasons (they are five in total) but you can get the rest @ netflix/whatever. I hear they also have them at surf the channel, but I never been there.
if you do watch it, skip the episodes "infection" and "tko", they are the worst.
I bet most of you have already watched Babylon 5 and firefly, but it's the best stuff I could think of.

Best miniseries I have ever seen, a must watch.
oh, and sorry, but hulu doesn't work for anyone outside of the US unless you use a proxy.

hulu will probably be available to other countrys soon. they are kinda just testing it out in the us right now.

I'm quite sure Hulu would bring their repertoire to outside of US too if they could. But we all know how stuck-up media corporates are. They might strike a deal with some of them in the near future... for brits, leaving the rest of EU and other countries out. :doubt: It's always the US, then UK. With luck germans might get their share. The rest are left licking their fingers.

it costs an order of magnitude less to host a streaming video station on the internet (either scheduled or on demand) than it does to operate a run of the mill tv/cable network. what i dont get is why it takes them so long to get ad supported tv on the internet. its nice to see some tv shows running their own online streaming, south park for example, and other networks steaming the same content you get through cable, like tvu. hulu is a nice new addition.
but right now the major problem i think is the hodgepodge of formats, players and protocols which seriously need some level of standardization. once all thats in place then ad revenues can start pouring in. the other advantage is content doesnt need to be striped down to meet fcc regulations like broadcast networks. you can now have fewer ads, more sex, and more violence too! yay!

I completely missed this thread the first time around.
I've been going through Babylon 5 for the past few weeks, though. It's a shame that they only have the first two seasons. And it's a shame that they replaced a good actor with a bad one in the second season. :ick:

I really got into watching 'Kings' recently. Not sure if anyone else has seen it, but its not bad at all :yes:
