So, about 5 months ago, I stumbled upon a great blog about how to build your own solar panels by buying somewhat defective solar cells from ebay and stringing them together in a casing. It cost about $200 for a fairly large array but now whenever I look for that website all I get are those terrible talking websites that are shilling their scam ridden swag. I implore you, masters of teh intertron to help me find this website or one that has a similar guide. I have been looking for hours with no such luck.
I would like to have this guide because I want to build a solar panel farm for the school I work for. This information should be free somewhere.

You really do get what you pay for, you know....
There are a number of major issues with solar power, especially if you're going to be building a solar farm to power something.
The real question is: what are you actually aiming to do?
The complexity of a reliable, robust solar panel infrastructure, with storage and regulation is fairly high, and unlikely to be adequately described on a blog!
The folks that charge you per hour will probably save you a fair amount of money in the long run, and will also avoid problems associated with being licenced to do certain types of electrical and installation work.
Sorry if this sounds snarky - this kind of project can go fairly pear shaped if it's not thought through thorougly.

Try to find a book? Learn how the things work, etc. and then figure it out yourself?
That's what I'd recommend anyway. I'm sure there are a few books out there that can let you know how everything works.
