I am having a problem with my missions they are all crashing except one which works fine but all the rest crash back to the desktop as they load with these errors, what do they mean?
Error: Can't open model file <>

I am using the 3.6.10 RC 2, now i am using the Inferno Alliance mod, It was working fine last week and i haven't altered anything at all. so i am a wee bit confused to why this is happening.
-
You installed Inferno to it's own mod directory and didn't overrwrite your FS2 files didn't you?
-
If you have placed Inferno in the FS root directory, place it in its own directory. Do the same for any other mod that is in the FS root directory in there are any. That should solve your error.
-
That has gotta be the most useless call stack I've ever seen :P
-
Yeah, from what I know about it (which is very little code-related) it doesn't look like it should be game-stopping.
-
No it's game stopping. What portej05 is on about is the call stack
Call stack:
------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------
Which is basically useless.

Ahh I see, 3ddraw, that sounds important actually :nervous: I've got to stop skim-reading posts

Yeah i have the INFA in its own mod folder, D:\Games\Freespace2\INFA . As i said it was working fine last week and i haven't touched anything in my freespace folder the only thing i have done since i last used fred and FS2 is install FEAR 2 but that shouldn't affect it should it? I also seem to have one mission that i created that still works and that was on monday but everyone created since crashes one the loading screen is done. I have also tried un-installing it and re-installing it and i get the same. The main campaign works fine, just the ones i make don't. Even when i just put a single fighter in it and then run it brings up these errors.

Just for the heck of it try creating a new pilot.
-
Ok i have got it working again, i uninstalled fear 2 doubt this had anythiny to do with it but thought what the hell! I also did a system restore to last week when i know it was working fine and that seems to have done the trick. I have no idea why it was doing this, as i said i haven't changed a thing in my FS2 folder at all. Could it be that somehow something became corrupt?
-
Did you install any new graphics drivers?
-
No not recently the only thing i installed was Fear 2 and that has been it
