The Wall Street Journal has commented that the site inspired other websites that sell pixels.
Selling pixels for money? Imagine how much it must cost for some of those larger pictures on that homepage...

I just noticed the special Olympics are on there, too...right above the "free domain" picture. There's also The Times newspaper.

and if you look at the "Free hosting" big red rectangle near the top, it says "No, we're not crazy. We're Americans!"

In fact there's a lot of funny things you can find on there if you look hard enough...

But it was featured on Wikipedia yesterday and nobody has posted it here yet. :P
