Title: Beam Aiming Code

I was wondering how FS2 handles beams, because I know someone's working on a player-controlled capship mod, and I think if the player was able to aim his beam weapons with the mouse, it would be 15 different kinds of kickass, garnished with plenty of awesome. Using a targeting system it might even be possible for the player to hit nearby fighter ships with a beam if it was mouse controlled.

Just a thought.

From what I understand, it would require a nasty code rewrite.
