Title: FSPort/FSmediavps problems

Not sure which one it's for, but I seem to have a problem with my FSport. Here is a screenshot showing what I'm missing. Also, I'm not getting the new textures for the FS1 ships. I select FSPort in the launcher, but I seem to be missing something. I've also added the text from my mod.ini folder.

Remove anything other than the cutscenepack, the 3.1.1 vp, fsport-missions, sparky, stu, tango and warble, then try again. Also, anything in data\, except for the cache.

Removed the package and tried it. Still missing the speed and "gas" gauges, as well as my aiming indicator. The textures are still old looking.

Did you get the fsport-mediavps?

Just saw that you did. Those should really be moved to their own mod folder, and you'll need ths mod.ini

Is that mv_fsport.vp? Is the mod.ini okay, because I've had minor problems with previous mod.ini files.

The models are fixed now (thanks :D) but I still have no speed gauges or the aiming thing (just like in the picture in my first post.) I moved the mv_fsport.vp and put it in a separate folder with the code that you put up above. Not sure what the problem is, but all I need is this fixed, and I think it'll all be fixed. :)

Did you do all of that? You seem to have replied before I made that change, so I'm just asking to be sure.

Also, if you could generate a fs2_open.log and post that here (preferably using [code][/code] tags), it would be much appreciated.

To generate a log, select a debug build in the Launcher (they have "debug" somewhere in their name), and run a mission. Then go to your data folder, and retrieve the file named fs2_open.log

You need to make sure you have the absolute latest version of the Port.

3.1.1. is the latest. However, please make sure you do the following:

1. These vps:

2. Move the fsport-mediavps to their own folder.
3. Place a copy of the mod.ini I posted earlier there
4. Select the fsport-mediavps as your active mod in the launcher, then run it and see if the problem is still present.

Just re-installed version 3.1.1 and put it in my FSPort folder and put the launcher mod on the folder which has mv_fsport.vp Still have the same error as before. I'll try moving the stuff that you suggested and will get back ASAP.

Tried and get multiple errors. The game then crashes on me. Moving everything back. Any advice on what the problem may be? Thanks again for all the help.

You need to post the errors. Can we get a screenshot of your FS2 and FSport directories? Are you using a debug build?

Okay, did you get your FSPort MVPs direct from the release thread, or from the Installer?

FSPort 3.1.1 contains new interface art 'n ****, so I'd advise you to delete your entire \fsport\ folder and reinstall. Everything you need is available from the release thread. Bascially just get everything except the FS1 DVD Hi-Res Textures and the Fall of Vasuda Prime cutscene.

And do make sure you have a recent enough build. RC2 is the best option at the moment.

I am now. Still missing the stuff.

FSPort 3.1.1 contains new interface art 'n ****, so I'd advise you to delete your entire \fsport\ folder and reinstall. Everything you need is available from the release thread. Bascially just get everything except the FS1 DVD Hi-Res Textures and the Fall of Vasuda Prime cutscene.
