I remember a WIP editor/creator by MetalDestroyer. It was mentioned on the HLP news 3-4 years ago (dudes, I really miss the old home page :(), but it's been a while since I last heard of it.
What's the status on that interesting tool? I also remember people claiming that it would have been a very nice program for the community. :)

Table editing is simple enough by itself though, and an editor with a full GUI (like drop down menus and stuff), might just be excessive.
If it's just a parser that tells you if something is off (in real-time, like some HTML editors do), though. Hell yes, that'd be nice.

Table editing is known to be relatively simple, but a dedicated editor would surely be a valid tool. :)

I've been playing around and started some work on an editor, mostly to refresh my C# knowledge, I'm getting rather stale at programming. I'm aiming for xml templates to connect the tool with the table setup (i.e. any additional $entries can be entered into the xml file and it should handle it). That should help with error checking
Who knows if it'll ever see the light of day or when.

It would be nice to have the table editor with error checker and full GUI ,it will just make things easier.
And I think you can do something that enables you to select FSO build you're using and check which features are available in it.
(that means you will be able to use it with all FSO versions ,as well as with retail)

Well, I stopped the development ^^ since I don't have any time since I finish my studies. Perhaps, I will redo all the thing since the code I made was totally crap. Now I has better understanding, to development layers, etc... But it's not for now. Perhaps one day just for fun. :p

Does anyone have enough free time to help MD...?

I'd be curious to know what it looked like, because the implementation of something like that is a bit tricky I think.
