It's been annoying me lately how every few times I click on "Random page", it brings me straight to some random ship from a mod I've never heard of (well, Inferno and TBP mainly). Is it possible to somehow add a tag that prevents the Wiki from loading certain pages when I click on Random page?
Lately the FreeSpace Wiki is seeming to be more like a FreeSpace Fanon Wiki or something. There's probably more non-canon info on there than canon info...
Don't hurt me please.

Sorry, but I don't get your point.
The reason why you're continuously redirected to articles of custom ship is simple: there are many custom ships on the Wiki.
About the second part of your post - so? The number of fanon stuff is considerable and needs to be put somewhere. The FreeSpace Wiki is to provide info about everything concerning the FS Universe, including non-canon.
I think the average Wiki user browses the Wiki to find non-canon info such as custom campaigns, ships and so on. Most of us played the main campaigns ad nauseam and have a very good knowledge of canon... I hard believe people use the Wiki to learn the basics of the FS Universe.
Obviously, canon info is to stay where it is.

I think he just wants a tag for his own personal use.
-
Why is there even a "random page" button anyway? Are you honestly that bored?
-
Hey, the random page button is awesome. Sometimes I am that bored.
I like having the non-canon stuff pop up. I just wish it had more information, more fluff and flavor text.
-
That, I do have to agree with.
-
I use the Random page button for editing purpose.
It's true, you don't know what you can do for the Wiki until you stumble on interesting articles.
-
Haha, look what I found pressing the Random Page button:

Hey, I like (parts of) that theory!

There are two answers:
1) No.
2) Yes, but it would require hacking of PHP in order to hard-code the categories to exclude.
I don't think it's worth the effort. Random pages are supposed to be random.

I like cheese.
