Read the message, please. Do what it says. Oh, and BTW, 3.6.10RC3 (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,63492.0.html) is out, you should get that.

Seriously, that's the most self-explanatory error message the game HAS, for crying out loud.

reinstalled the Freespace Launcher
FreeSpace Open. The Launcher is merely a small tool related to FSO.

Pay close attention to reason #3 on that error report.

Before wasting more bandwidth: you do understand that FreeSpace 2 is required for FSO to work, don't you?

I followed like last time I've done this.. get FSO installer... and it install to directory downloads all files and then you use launcher..

I didn't install to default directory to a different folder this time... I don't think that is a problems.

Anyways I'm redoing the whole thing again now..

Let me put it this way.

You do understand that the FSO Installer does not install FreeSpace 2?

I really do wonder how much bigger we have to make the warning on the installer thread before people start reading it. :p

Hmm. The word is that ShivanSPS's pack actually checks whether retail files are present or not. A fantastic feature, if you ask me.

It should still allow an override just in case you are downloading on a different computer then you plan on installing or are downloading while installing or something.
