I have a problem with normal maps I extracted from Earth Defence demo.
They doesn't work as desired ,instead of improving quality of texture they just make it extremaly dark ,without any other influence.
Can somebody try to fix them?
I also tried to apply one of those maps to HTL Apollo ,though the result was Apollo being completely black.

I had this problem last night, trying to use u8888 instead of DXT5n. I think HT knows about the channel swapping or whatever that's needed to make this format work, but you might try switching to DXT5n in the meantime. Unless that's one of the changes you're attempting to make it look better.

I just want to make them work ,can you tell me where I can find something that can convert them to DXT5n ?
(DDS Converter offers only DXT5 which doesn't work)

DXT5 should work but probably needs similar channel swapping. The GIMP DDS plugin can save a DXT5n just fine.

Thanks ,it worked.
I think you may want to try Apollo normal map ,it looks a bit strange in some places ,but still improves quality.
I will post INFA maps as a part of bigger update.
