We all know Obama's a Muslim because the GOP told us so. We all know about Obama's militant Christian reverend because the news told us about him. Turns out, he's a Jew too (http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/06/11/museum.shooting.suspect.two/index.html)!
I've got a fiver that says he's actually Hindu.

So what you want to show us is, that "some" Americans are still obsessed with the concept of "race" ?
Germany had the first woman chancellor and watch us aim for the first gay chancellor in history this year! harr harr. (Well i guess technically several heads of state have been called gay before, but he really would be! LOL).
Who really cares about something as irrelevant as anyones skin color or race anymore ?;)
Seriously... "discrimination" has become a quite outmoded model in general, no matter if you talk about race, gender or sexual preference. It's sad to see that there are still relics of such smallmindedness floating around in our day and age. (especially referring to some things mentioned in that article).
This isn't "Obama scoring a hat trick" this is some small minded idiots ignorance laid out for public consumption lol.
-
Hindu? Nah. Buddhist? Hells yes.

Granted, but the reason for the post was really just that I found humor in Obama being called a member of each of three of the largest religions on the planet. I'd go on, but I'd undermine the joke further, if I did.

I'm gonna be pissed if it turns out he's Taoist.

Shinto.

Hindu? Nah. Buddhist? Hells yes.

I am angry both at that joke and the fact that I know what it is you're talking about.

It could be worse. I could have gone with /tg/'s picture for it too.

The only thing that pisses me off as much as racist people is the people that hold viewpoints like "We elected an official from a minority! That means we're not racist! Huzzahs are in order for our ability to focus on a single, irrelevant issue!"
But that's redundant.
Maybe it's just me, but I kinda thought that when society as a whole was past this kind of stuff, no one would notice when stuff like this happens. Unfortunately, I think it's too much to ask for people to forget the concept of race. But I still kinda wish people would pretend that they could.
Or maybe it's just me, and I'm completely insane.

The man shot up a museum; I think it's safe to say that if it hadn't been the Jews, it would have been something else. I hardly think this guy is a viable discussion prompt for an examination of racial politics in the U.S. That's like having a discussion about extraterrestrial life based on what you heard in a psych ward.

/tg/
Are you the guy I keep seeing mention FS and Shivans on /tg/? I lurk there a lot, and there's at least one regular there who's an FS fan. I always mean to ask if he knows about HLP, but can't catch him in time.
-
No. My only contact with /tg/, or indeed 4chan in general, is through the 1d4chan wiki.

Well, tbh, I don't care if you are red, yellow, black(brown FFS), white at the wind driven snow(like myself) or green with purple star shaped polkadots, if you acquit yourself as an adult in so far as you do your job to the best of your ability and respect those around you, then I don't give a flying flip about what you do in your off time. One of the finest men I know is a black man, I count him among my few friends. Most people my age and younger are like that, but my dad has a different perspective, he came up in a time when that particular word was given it's current negative meaning. His formative experiences were with no good layabouts that were worthless not only to the guy they were working for and with, but to themselves also. So he's rather a bit vehement about racial matters. But bear this strongly, I'm not going to give a pass to someone who isn't pulling they're weight, I don't care who they're daddy was or what he did. Dr. King DID NOT die for special treatment, he and many others died and were treated horribly so that some day in the future they could be considered EQUAL to white men.

Obama actually believes in Luis Armand and Angel.

Nah, I agree. When Obama won the election, there was so much talk about how Martin Luther King's dream had finally been fulfilled... but based on what MLK talked about in his most famous speech, I don't think we're quite there yet. The day a minority president is elected, and the nation doesn't consider it that big of a deal... that's when we can really begin to make statements like that.
Of course, it could just be that we're both insane. :nervous:

What's worse is, Obama has a black baby
in fact, he has two!

Judaism is actually one of the smallest religions on the planet. Christianity, Islam, and Hindu are the three largest religions, in that order.

True but in the western world Judaism is easily one of the most politically and economically visible. AIPAC anyone?

Active might be pushing it, but I have been known to pontificate from time to time.

Me too, I just happened to pop in.
Anyway it's good to see you had a lot of respect for you and Rictor in our old discussions. Which you probably don't remember since it was so many years ago. :p

Was a while back, those were good times.
