Title: How do you reimport LOD0 in PCS2 and remove the old one?
Post by: FUBAR-BDHR on June 19, 2009, 12:12:58 am
Basically I needed to do an alteration on a model so I exported to .cob and loaded it in TS.  Well even though it's not a high poly model TS crawls with it due to all the path lighting and lights for turret centers.  Well I stripped it down to just LOD0 and it's turrets but it keeps messing up when I try to bring it back into PCS2 and get rid of the old LOD0.  Tried both using the old model and just loading the new hull and using the new hull and loading the lods and other info from the original.  Nothing seems to work quite right.  I thought I had it but then the textures started messing up.  Well at least one of them and it wasn't one that I had tried to modify.  The one I did modify worked just fine.

It would be great if I could just load up the texture info since that was all I needed to change.  Otherwise is there any easy way to reload the hull of an existing ship without PCS2 going bonkers?

What sort of texture stuff are you wanting to change?

I figured it out.  Part of the problem was that PCS2.1 (the wasn't supposed to be released version) was the default for .cob  on my computer.

The part of the ship where the nameplate was had the same texture as the other side of the ship so everything you applied to one side was backwards on the other.
