Uh...I'm seeing some boards with ALL CAPS. All the lower case characters have been replaced by capitals.
Or is that just me?
Strangely, this board is unaffected. Though just about everything else is.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBER
(he did it in honor of Billy Mays)
-
Ehhh...serves me right for not looking an Gen Disc.
-
Whew. A place where allcaps seems to be turned off.
/relief

sigh
Does he know this will break links to files hosted on *nix-based servers?
-
It also breaks all the quote things (they all say posted by on:) without saying the poster.
Scratch that it breaks quote links period.
-
I don't suppose we could limit the silliness to General Discussion? It is after all a wretched hive of scum and villainy, but having all the hosted forums have cruise control for cool switched on is a bit irritating and unproductive.
Thank ye kindly benevolent admins.

Damn, i missed the fun, like always. :sigh:
Hereby i request a early-warning system for such...events here on HLP ( exception: RickRolls ).

Ok, next time we know Billy Mays is about to die, we'll contact you first, THEN the news outlets.

How kind of you.

Well no, not warn when someone is about to die.
Warn when you're about to do something because they died.
Or at least make the reason clear - then there wouldn't be threads like this one :P

I don't mind the jokes at all but when they break download links and support info then it's a bit overboard. I've said it before and I'll say it again we really need these "features" kept to certain boards or more importantly away from the project and support boards unless it doesn't break links and other important info.
It's apparently already set up so that forums such as this one aren't affected by the scrips. How hard would it be to make other forums either immune or something in between where scrips don't effect the links and stuff while they still can in gendisc etc?
-
As you said, it's set up so that only a subset of forums are affected by any filter.
This filter was just a quick slapdash strtoupper that was only active for 1.5 hours. If I were to do it as an all-day thing, I'd figure out a way to not apply strtoupper to quotes and URLs.
