can there only be 700 polys in all of the LODs or is that just the LOD0 (the when you're the closest LOD)?

I've sucessfully converted a model with about 2500 for the main LOD, although I never finished it (it worked ingame, though).
I think the overall conversion limit is 5000 for all LODs (combined), but the lmiits for ships cob2fs will convert, and that ModelView will display, are lower than PCS. I think 3000 overall for cob2fs2 and ModView.

Maximum combined.
For model view, 4000
For cobtopof2, 4000
For PCS, Limitless I’m sure I have read some place, but subs still has to be capped at 750
Cobtopof2 with high limits, note sure, but I think it is limitless.
But note, a model that touches these limits will make the game run lousy on older systems, if we have to count in all the usual fighters, mission critical ships, etc.

Many thanx, LtNarol had a beef about an LOD0 having about 500 Poly's. So I was wondering if the poly limit stuff was combined or for each LOD.

7200 polys work ingame, but because the model was made out of several subobjects, it looked like it was alive :)
