My CO just called me up - my unit is being recruited. I don't know anything at all beyond that - no idea how long, where - nothin'. My bro will keep Setekh updated, and he can update you all - I won't have a wireless palm modem this time.
I believe an appropriate quote for the moment is: "I may not know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future."
See y'all when I see ya!

And He does, dude. Whether you meet Him or stay with us, I know He works for the good of His people. :)
Be seeing you soon, dude.

Jeez, good luck dude - take care out there

That's the thing with people being blown to pieces, it tends to screw military policy and plans.
-
Take care & come back alive.

True, and sad. :(

Is it required by law there to serve X amount of years in the military?
Anyway, we will be awaiting your return. :)

Hm, are you sure that will keep him safe? :D :p
And here in Brazil we're required to serve one year, but didn't need to serve because they had too much people already.

Good Luck.

Yes, I know - I was good friends with a Brazillian family that lived here for a few years - their boy told me about the military there. :)

Cool. Thankfully, we currently don't have to use the military for it's true purpose, though.

Also "hello" and "goodbye". Given the history of the Jews, the hope of peace goes pretty deep.
-
Indeed. :blah: I remember Sandwich telling me that "Shabbat Shalom" meant "Have a peaceful Saturday".

And when you get back, we can make a party and drink kalva (or was it calva) from your enemies skulls just like the old days... :p

Don't forget: WATER DEACTIVATES YOUR CLOAK!
Like Apu says, try and take it in the arm.

PARTY!!! WOHOO!!!

Shalom is right! It's the perfect word for times like this...goodbye and peace. Good luck Sandwich, try to come back in one piece, and try not to get used to it, cuz that would be bad.
Wait, that was dated the 29th? Maybe I did see you in the newspaper then (yeah right) or maybe I will...I'll keep my eyes peeled.
Don't have too much fun!
And to Shrike or Styxx, can't remember who: Brazil has an army? I didn't know that...
-
Take care man.

Back for 24 hours, which are mostly over by now anyways... safe and sound so far; been going on patrols into Jenin on a daily basis. Fortunately we're only patrolling the city itself and not the refugee camp section - that's where all the hard-core terrorists are holed out.
I've seen a bit of action, in a way - on one of my patrols while inside an APC, we (my APC along with the other 3 APC's and 2 tanks) got a lot of grenades and explosives thrown at us from the surrounding buildings... luckily they didn't do much more than scratch the paint - God is good!!
Anyways, it'll be a maximum of another 2 weeks until I get out, but it could happen way before that, depending on when Israel completes rooting out the terrorists from Jenin, or whether they bow to the US pressure (I hope we don't). Time will tel; Powell just landed tonight.
Until next time, Shalom Aleichem!
-
"waves" youhou!!!
at least you're fine :)
-
Well, nice to know your safe. :)
Good thing you weren't patrolling outside the APCs :p
-
Nice to hear from ya! Go get'em! :D
-
Ya, stay inside your APC! :D
Good to hear from you, I'll pray for you. Don't do anything JZ would do, have fun, and don't get blown up or go to a refugee camp. Enjoy your leave! and whatever Powell says to you guys, don't believe him! ;)

Try to have fun making things go BOOM. I hear this is best accomplished by not being one of those things.
And keep in mind- war is mankind's favorite pastime for a reason. And that reason is so that we can GET COOL SCARS AND TRY TO TAKE HUGE GUNS HOME WITH US!!!
...And something to do with politics, but everyone knows it's really for the loud noises and guns.:D
Yeah, and good luck, too.
-
You wen't again, damn
Good to hear that you are ok

You too, bro. :) It's good to hear back from you... yes, God is keeping an eye on you. ;)
I'll keep posting emails that I get from him for you lot. He just sent me one then, but it was short, and was paraphrasing what he said above. :)
