Long time Freespace Fan, from back when it first came out. 

You guys have done an excellent job upgrading this game.  The cutscenes look incredibly bad now compared to the in-game graphics, which is a testament to the quality of your work.

Thanks for your work and allowing us to play this excellent game looking like it was released in the last year, instead of 10 years ago.

Glad you enjoyed it, as GB said, be sure to check out some of the total conversions and campaigns available, and be sure to stick around, the upgrade is an iterative progress, and you can still expect to see more and better ;)

I second that. Truly amazing what they did on the game. Back then Freespace 2 knocked me off my feet with its stunning visuals.
Only recently I installed the game again and used the auto installer. Again I could not believe my eyes. Stunning all over again. Damn, you guys are good.

By the way, this is off-topic, but is it just me or does anybody think the Myrmidon needs a revamp?  The solid black cockpit looks really bad compared to the clear cockpits of the other fighters or the tinted of the Erineyes.  Sorry that I can't help with that, I'm no good with texturing or modelling so I don't want to be critical.  But everytime I look at the Myrmidon and compare it to the other craft that have been done, I almost cringe.
