Title: Problem with campaigns (solved)
Post by: cjakub on July 07, 2009, 06:38:47 am
Hi i am new to this forum and have one question.
I just installed latest Freespace 2 open and downloaded campaign called Blue Planet. But in first mission i can see something like that:
Code: [Select]
http://i25.tinypic.com/2ccw37.jpgthis i also saw in Warzone campaign from restoration team.
So, whats the problem, can i fix it or these campaigns are not compatible with latest freespace 2 open? Thanks for replies.
Cheers

What would be the error here?

Seriously, that screenshot looks perfectly fine to me....

Yeah, it's a nice screenshot, but there aren't any apparent errors visible.

ok , in launcher select blue planet at the mod , start the game  when you get to launch bay go to the mission/campaign room and select blue planet , then repost screen shot

What is the problem? Is it that the fighter is appearing in front of your hud?

Hang on, are you referring to the fact that you're flying using the external camera? If so, just hit * on your numpad to return to internal view mode.

That is from Blue Planet; notice the ship, notice the weapons, notice the directives.

:wtf: The jump node?

The "green lines" thing is a HUD representation of a jump node. They can/should be seen in many places, including the third(?) mission of the retail FS2 campaign (excluding training missions).

You should really finish the retail game. Blue Planet is great for a first user-made campaign, but it'll spoil the ending of regular Freespace 2.

Playing the retail campaign helps the most, due to most of the mods being based on the ending or the events of the retail campaign. As for the help, that's what the community is for. :) Have fun playing the campaign.

sorry for my stupid question.
As the old jungle saying goes, there are no stupid questions; only stupid answers.

That's a stupid answer.

There are stupid questions. Example: people asking what the very detailed "web cursor bitmap" error message means, even though it says exactly what it means.
