I have a random request that I'm sure every FREDder would cry out with joy for: A Mjolnir model that points its beam in the right direction.
Currently, the Mjolnir has its beam pointing upwards (on the Y axis) for some reason, meaning that it's unusually difficult to get this damned thing pointing the right way. However, what I'm requesting is a new model which has the beam pointing forwards (on the Z axis) which would allow us to simply use object orientation to get them pointed the right way. Additionally, object direction manipulation SEXPs could also be used, which for some situations is necessary but not currently possible.
I'm not proposing a change to the current model, simply another optional model that FREDders can use in their mods to make everyone's lives easier.
Any takers?

Already exists. It's on fsmods somewhere. Link as soon as I can find it.

In reply to this (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,64419.0.html) (how did it get locked so quickly?) (Ah, thanks.) That Mjolnir has the subobject grind02c still pointing in the wrong direction. It might not be noticeable in-game, but it annoys me. That and it would be nice to have a forward-facing Mjolnir with the dock point.

Threads merged.
Good call. Also, the forward-facing one doesn't have a dockpoint either.

You can just use the dockpointed one, attach it to an Argo, make the Argo face a certain point, and the Mjolnir will be aimed that way. Then delete the Argo.
No real need for a forward-facing one.
The bonus of this is that you can just distribute the mission without using the reoriented POF, as the dockpointed one has the same orientation as the retail/MVPs Mjolnir.

Wish I found this sooner. I used to avoid FREDding missions that include Mjolnirs because of the orientation but this will make things a lot simpler. :)
