So every once in a while I have these ideas. I spend a couple of hours sort of fleshing them out in the computer,  then I tuck them away for a rainy day. This is one of those ideas that's probably going to lie dormant for probably another year or two.

Basically, it's a template for an Orion main hall set during Silent Threat / Silent Threat: Reborn / Operation Templar, featuring the Loki, Zeus, and Centaur. It would be nice to have a high-res main hall for FSPort, as well as using the high-poly models.

But, like I said, with so many other things I'm doing this probably isn't going to go anywhere anytime soon.

You know what'd be neat to see? Something based on the layout of the Bastion's fighterbay (I mean, the Orion only has one fighterbay, right?), but from a different view. Making a full model of the mainhall would be interesting...

I'd imagine the campaign room would be to the right a bit more, leading almost to some large "War Room" (COD4 anybody?). Ready Room could do with some upscaling I suppose, so it's more noticeable. Other than that, it looks pretty damn interesting/awesome! :D

You know, I had a similar idea months ago, but I lack the necessary skills to implement it.

Would it be possible to use the in game HTL models for this?

Needless to say, i like the idea, but i must agree with previous comments. The Ready room needs to be more prominent, bigger and near the center, like in the retail Main halls.

Loadouts will be animated hercy stuff i assume rather than a functional clickable thingy. :)?

This was my idea (also a concept) for a part of the animated background. Pipes like these were supposed to act as airlocks between the fighterbays and the main hall.
I don't even know if this is possible or logical in real life (since I am a complete ignorant when it comes to physics), but i thought you might want to consider it.

Suggestions?

Extremly cool idea, mate. I guess you need to add an elevator on the upper part of this pape moving on a rail/bus/call it whatever you want.

Are you going to take seriously this job and finish this mainhal based on that concept? :drevil:

Eh...

In the Bastion's mainhall, you can definitely see out through what is probably the fighterbay 'entrance', and in the Psamtik mainhall, they've got that skiff thing...

The tubes idea seems kind of silly to me.

No, sorry. I'm just too busy now. And this is Galemp's project, so I should respect that.

I might try to do something like this in the future though.

But anyway, thank you all for the feedback.
