Title: Looking for some kind of movie maker program

I would like to do some simple command briefings that consist of a series of still images, but I want to have them fade in and out and have them remain on screen for a few seconds each.  Can anyone think of a free program off the top of their heads that would allow me to do this?

Windows Movie Maker can do this IIRC.

Thanks, that solves that part.

Next, am I limited to the .ani format for command briefings?

Also, does anyone remember the command prompts needed to get Bright to convert .bmps to a batch of .pcxs that share the same palette?  Google searches have been pretty dry so far as all leads seem to be for older versions of Bright.
