Title: Mission "Enter the Dragon" glitch, cannot pass to next mission.

I'm on a mission in which I need to capture a shivan fighter.
I get to that part, disable the fighter, and destroy all the other enemies.
The ship to capture it jumps in, and does nothing. I've tried this multiple times.

Next, i've tried failing 5 times and advancing to the next mission.
That doesn't work either, it just put's me back to briefing for the mission that I just failed.

Is there a fix for this?

Skipping doesn't work? :wtf:
First time I've ever heard of that...

Edit: Try skipmemymissionyo then sm2_08a (which is the next mission after Enter the Dragon), as directed here: http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,64457.msg1271462.html#msg1271462

TBH, I've never tried that myself but it's worth a shot.

If you click "No" in the "Skip mission" dialogues once, the game won't show it to you again, IIRC.

Isn't that only if you hit "don't show me again"?

Apparently, this is a known issue (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,60450.0.html) due to the FSPort team removing a particular duplicate table entry.  I'd imagine that the team will have a fix in the next release, but until then, give Droid's solution a try.

Probably because you got the mission name wrong. :p  It's sm2-08a, with a dash.

You could always "skipmemymissionyo" to the correct mission. :)  Provided you haven't actually switched campaigns, you should still have all your pilot stats too.

Related to the previous post:  Is it normal for all of your pilot stats to disappear when you switch back from FSPort to another campaign?  I tried to play the SCPd FS2 campaign, but then found my pilot to have been completely wiped.  Even of stuff he did before the FSPort.  It was irritating.

Also, have encountered this, stopped campaign there for a couple months.  Came back, played through again, and it worked.
