Hi guys. I just updated to the latest mediavps and I have an error in the mission where you escort the Bastion. It happens when the Bastion warps.

Error: Invalid point.

In sexpression: ( <

)
(Error appears to be: Duamutef)

You know there is a Patch for this mission in the MVP Thread?

IMPORTANT: Known Issues

Campaign Mission "Clash of the Titans II" has 2 errors. Corrected version here: SM3-09.fs2 (http://zacam.ueuo.com/fsu/SM3-09.fs2) (Right-Click, "Save As")

I think you forget to download it :)

I have it but I'm still getting the error. The mission file is in the right folder which is fs2/mediavps/data/missions. When the cut scene starts up after the bastions warps is when the error starts. :confused: Actually if you just do the very last mission in the simulator you'll get the same error because of the cut scene.

I also have no sunlight so in the first two mission I've played. Do you think downloading the mediavps through bittorrent caused problems?

That's actually not a problem with sm3-09, but with sm3-10.
(Hopefully) fixed mission is attached.

No, probably not. However, what do your command line settings look like?

I actually have the same thing going on with my side, while other missions or campaigns have light reflecting off ship hulls and such, I just looked at the first mission of the original campaign and there's no reflections on the side that faces a star.

Thanks for responding to my posts! Can you explain what you mean by command line?

If you look at the launcher's feature tab, you will find a textfield with the complete command line used to launch FS2. Almost everything the Launcher can set in terms of options can be found here, and some of those influence the lighting.

For reference, mine looks like this: F:\Space\FreeSpace\fs2_open_3_6_10.exe -mod mediavps -spec -glow -env -mipmap -missile_lighting -normal -3dshockwave -cache_bitmaps -targetinfo -orbradar -ship_choice_3d -weapon_choice_3d -3dwarp -warp_flash -no_set_gamma -loadallweps -fps -window -output_scripting -debug_window  -ambient_factor 0 -spec_exp 11 -spec_point .6 -spec_static .8 -spec_tube .4 -ogl_spec 80

Oh okay I see where you are going with this. Here it is, but I think sunlight appears in other mods though the only other mod I've tried is fsport_mediavps.

C:\Games\FreeSpace2\fs2_open_3_6_10.exe -mod mediavps -spec -glow -env -mipmap -missile_lighting -normal -ship_choice_3d -weapon_choice_3d -3dwarp -snd_preload  -ambient_factor 75 -no_emissive_light -spec_exp 11 -spec_point .8 -spec_static 1 -spec_tube .4 -ogl_spec 80
