Where'd it go? Thought it was on game warden?
-
It's still there. Only more archived. Look at the bottom of GW's forum list.
-
Hmmn. Actually I don't think it is. I found some homepage post that says something about a split between BTRL and GW.
Ho hum.
Too much politics in the world I thinks.
-
Oh, that. Yeah, well, if the BtRL site is to be believed, further progress updates will be distributed by mailing list.

Well they could always try to get hosted on Sectorgame or Freespacemods. There are other forums besides HLP and GW

There's a lengthy treatise on the subject there, how did you miss it?

Oh I don't visit GW or SG that often to be honest. Just now and again.

It takes me a lot of exposure to recognize two-character acronyms. The only thing that the letters S & G together make me think of is the Trek-like Stargate thing. I didn't realize that HLP was commonly used here at this place for its name at first, and I was never a Galactica fan for the original or the remake, although I did think that the remake was a higher quality production, so I haven't tracked down the first set of BtRL people to their new place after finding the two, GW & here.
Is "SG" the new place that the first offshoot, Galactica in FS2, group started?
-
SG means SectorGame: http://sectorgame.com, and the site is 9 years old, so it has no connection with BSG.
-
Sector General's Freespace-related areas seem very quiet now, maybe that's why this is the first time that link has come to my attention. I suppose that "BSG" may therefore be likely as another acronym for another place, which might or might not involve either Battlestar Galactica or the breakoff group's site (which doesn't feel right in my mind, since I have read its name).
The original BG predated the graphical makeover of the 'net, so a nine year old site is much younger than that old space fantasy TV series.
-
:wtf: BSG is only the acronym for Battlestar Galactica, nothing else. Surely you must have heard that one before.
Here's the deal: BtRL (the team led by Omniscaper) currently has no public forum. If they do, they aren't advertising it anywhere. Diaspora, the team led by Karajorma which comprises most of the former members of the BtRL team has its base right here, in the Diaspora (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/board,175.0.html) forum.

Or much of anything else they're admitting...

Well I think Sector Game, Game Warden and Freespace mod's forums are all comparatively quiet when compared to HLP. But, they've got their own projects being hosted there. Basically I think they're mainly just alternatives for project hosting though they have some other stuff as well (freespace mods is of course primarily a big download site).
