Please make waypoints easier to grab and move around.
It's ridiculous as is, unless I'm missing something obvious.




Ah bugger. I figured it out. Just put the cursor over the first letter. Was driving me nuts.


But not to waste a thread here. Why isn't there a proper waypoint editor??? as far as I can tell, the so-called editor in FRED only lets you select and rename the various paths. Why isn't there something where you can go through each waypoint in a path and adjust it's position by punching in numbers?? Or am I again missing something????


Oh wait. I see you can just pick them from teh object editor drop down list. Even so would be nice to have a window that has next and prev like ships so you don't have to do the drop down. Though, maybe no one cares but me. Some people don't even use waypoints for wahtever reason.


Or heck if you guys could add like a representational camera or even better yet a "toggle to camera view" type thing that would be awesome. I just spent a great amount of time setting up some cutscenes in my typical perfectionist over-the-top style and it's taking a looooong time.

Select the waypoint in question, hit shift-O.

On the subject of FRED, is it supposed to tell me about an error a gazillion times???? A few times, I've managed to somehow muck something up. Like, I remember I switched the player craft to Alpha 2 and then it said something like "Wave Threshold's value is too positive" or something (because it was like -2) and then I clicked "OKAY (screw off window)". But the window was still there. Then I had to click the same OK button about another 34 times. Thought I crashed the bloody thing

Hmmmmm. I doubt that's meant to happen. See if you can reproduce it and stick it in Mantis. I quite like that kind of FRED bug cause they're generally reasonably easy to track down. :)

There's a camera view? BAAAAAH.

After I just spent hours and hours setting up this cutscene. Maybe would've made it easier.


I'm too much of a damn perfectionist. But it's gonna be awesome.

It goes to the view of the ship you have selected, i use a dummy fighter and shift+v for all my cutscenes :)

And about the original crossed-out query, the error is actually present, due to widescreen issues, IIAC.
