Title: Ugh Sketchup exports are ugly.

Ugh just pulled some nice stuff off of google 3d warehouse. You can download collada files.  Guess what... every single polygon has a flipped polygon (like double sided, except each is separate). Absolutely worthless   :(  :ick:

Their actually recoverable, but it can be a pain

True...I think I ended up converting to mesh, merging the vertices, switching back to polymode, unifying the normals, switching back to mesh, remerging the vertices... but don't quote me  :lol:

That sounds like too much trouble even if it works. .  Texturing in sketchup is a ***** too aint it?

Actually, for tile texturing, it's pretty easy, provided you don't have to wrap the texture around any curved surfaces...
