Title: Any good Vanilla Civ4 mods?
Post by: Titan on August 26, 2009, 10:54:49 am
I'm getting bored with plain Civ4. Are there any good mods for it? I've got Fall From Heaven and Sevomod. Any others?

And no, I can't get an expansion pack, since my copy is from the library, which I installed, updated, then grabbed a no-disk fix.  :doubt:

The expansions come with a good number of fun mods. Since I haven't used the original in a while now, I couldn't honestly tell you what's out there.

Seriously, the second expansion comes with a mod that completely overhauls the aesthetics and turns it into a space-based mod more in the vein of GalCivII. Called 'Final Frontier'. It's pretty cool, each star is a single "city", and within it you can select different planets (with varying food/coin/hammer values) to build improvements on, as well as shift population around at whim. It's pretty darn sexy, even though it takes forever to play.

Look, surely you can find some way to get your hands on the expansions. Capiche?

Mine does...

EDIT: OK, I just looked online. The only other civ games I could get are Civ: Call to Power (Old, I've played it) and Civ III (which I have the expansion for, but not the original game).

Hmmm, maybe I'll see if they have the Alpha Centauri expansion, we have a copy of the vanilla version...

EDIT2: Uh, no.

We DO have a copy of the expansion at our house, but our last computer refused to loa- ... wait... be right back...

EDIT3: We don't have the illegal CD's anymore.  :ick:
