Mimic 2
Night Skies
Anyone got anymore?

I actually loved that film, first saw it on Video laser disc. Awesome.
Wasn't a lot of the footage re-used for another film? (Ice Pirates?) :nervous:

Does Starship Troopers count?

Hey. On the subject, can anyone tell me the name of this movie?
There's a movie where essentially an alien prison ship nears the Earth, and some badass creature gets lose kills everyone except one dude and then it goes to Earth. Then security guy follows it, meets some other human guy I think? And eventually they hunt it down and kill it and also during the movie, the one guy keeps having flashbacks to the prison ship. I think . ..
Anyway. I saw it like, 15 years ago and I was wondering what it was because it was pretty decent from what I recall.

That film got James Horner noticed. As a result he wes chosen to write the music for Wrath of Khan, Aliens, Apollo 13 and so on...
One of my favorite composers, next to Jerry Goldsmith and Martin (http://www.lemon64.com/games/list.php?type=musician&name=Martin%20Walker) Walker (http://noname.c64.org/csdb/scener/?id=3259)...
-
James Cameron too. That film got several Greats they're start.
-
Isn't Ice Pirates a comedy?
-
I nominate all of the species movies.
-
It wasn't "Ice Pirates" that the "Battle Beyond the Stars" edits appeared in, it was "Space Raiders" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086345/)
Another FANTASTIC MOVIE!
-
Wasn't Robert Vaughn in that battle film thingy?
-
This HLPer demands to know why This Island Earth hasn't been listed yet.
-
Just about any SyFy channel original movie. The crap they keep coming up with never ceases to amaze me.
-

Yes he was, reprising his role in The Magnificent Seven, almost down to the dialogue.
-
Watch MST3k now! :D
Space Mutiny is hilarious.

Don't forget George Peppard (Hannibal in A-Team) as the Cowboy!
With the belt mounted whiskey, tonic and ice dispencer!
Also, wasn't there a Cylon raider piloted by some guy out of 'The Man from U.N.C.L.E.'?

That was space mutiny. One of the things I wondered about that movie was how they were able to use liscenced sfx footage from the original battlestar galactica.

killer clowns from outer space

And not one mention of "The Blob" or "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" in a thread about cheesy sci-fi flicks.
I seen a few really cheesy British sci-fi films, but can never remember the names of them. One of the most respected British sci-fi films, I found to be cheesy..............."Quatermass". Sorry to any fans of the film here, but couldn't really enjoy that film for some reason!

Read back through my posts wobble :p
I mentioned em both i think...

I can't believe you guys would let this thread die with so many awful sci-fi movies. :p
Well I wont, I just recently saw a recent cheesy sci-fi movie titled "Humanity's End". The story was kind of interesting, even though it was very very badly written, being a bizzare combination of Ancient Astronaught theories, 2012 nonsense, Firefly western in space theme, and several elements blatantly ripped off from Battlestar Galactica. Needless to say the acting was horrible, and while the SFx was fairly ambitious for such a low budget movie, it also reeked badly. If you want cheesy fun, this is the film for you.
