I admit contributing to that page (the cut in testing comment, which may be wrong: I admit I have not actually played the version that was released. :p), but AFAIK it was Androgeous Extuent who first proposed, and presumably implemented, it.

I was about to direct you to the Holonet page that had so many of us looking up verb endings, but it doesn't seem to have made the transfer to the new server setup yet. :p
