Pretty sure that's fractalsponge's new SSD....
He does do awesome work, but it's not realistic as something to get in game.
There are limits if you don't want everyone's computer to melt into slag.
Great for movies though.
(I'm not affiliated with FotG, but have an older almost as detailed SSD and thought about
trying it before.... not easy or wise)

Starting from a CGI model like that, even one with a more realistic poly count, would take a serious amount of work to get to an in game level. A model like that needs many subobjects, detail boxes, etc and it would take ages to get it right. Almost definitely a better idea for a modeler to start from scratch on a project like that.

lvlshot for great justice

Definitely not Executor-class. Not any class I've seen before, actually.
-
That is one ugly baby
-
Lvlshotted the image... impossible to get any idea what we're lookng at otherwise. Now that I've seen it... cool, but ugly.

I so knew this was about fractalsponge's newest monster when I saw the thread title :p

Some people have too much time on their hands
-
Not as much time as others. He's doing a PhD at the same time, if I read correctly from that Sci-fi meshes thread.

If y'all want to see more, his site is here:

Darn now I have no excuse for making something awesome. :(

To me it looks like the Executor but with artistic liberty.
Still, ****in' ILM-quality stuff right there.
-
He's made ILM quality stuff for some time, so much so that they decided to use one of his meshes in their own video game's trailer.
-
Yeah, and when Fractal said something about it he almost got sued.
-
So perhaps we should dub this a Fractal-Class Star Destroyer. :D
For lack of better identification.
-
I would sooo love to know how he does that kind of detailing. :(
