Title: On Forum Netiquette (Split from the FS3 topic)
Post by: Dilmah G on September 12, 2009, 02:05:12 am
Sorry for not reading the thread, but don't we already have enough of these lately?

Sorry, I'm kinda new to this forum. If you'd like, I can delete this topic. I'd really like to hear some responses though. Again, to all you full-timers I'm sure you've heard this argument before, but I'm curious myself on the responses to the questions I've posed.

It's not doing any harm, and the question's being asked in a somewhat-different context.  It's just fine as far as I'm concerned.

Doesn't "general freespace" already accomplish that goal?

no

at the moment there are 2 "will there be a freespace 3" style topics i am following at the moment, and i am thinking that if all the current and past threads are rounded together some of the repetition grumbled about might happen less

Or here's an idea: how's about you let the mods and admins worry about what belongs where and just concentrate on your own affairs, mmmkay?

Don't see the need to open a new thread

Enough is enough.  The very next person who continues to prattle on about locking, moving, or otherwise fooling around with this thread is getting their posts split and locked and the higher powers informed.  The. Thread. Is. Fine.  If you don't have anything on-topic to say, then go find somewhere else to post.

I split it myself anyway.

It is not the job of forum members to make suggestions on bans, locks, splits or merges by posting on the thread in question. If there is an issue use the report post button as this gets a much faster response than a post anyway.

Ironforge, since you were dumb enough to post on the subject after specifically being told by a moderator to leave it to the admins you get to take a week off. You've continually pushed things past the point where you should leave them the hell alone but when you've actually been told by a moderator to leave it and you continue to push, there will be consequences.

Ah sorry, point noted.
