It's activated across the entire forums every year.  The SEALS bit is a nice new touch, though. :D

As always, it'll be turned off in 24 hours.

It usually only applies to posts within those 24 hours, though, I notice this time it's all posts, ever. :P

No, it applies to any posts you view and/or type.  This includes posts from years ago, if you scroll back that far.

I recommend that this filter be left on for GenDisc. Forever.  :D

I think GenDisc is insane enough already. :P

Great, another day to skip coming here. I really needed another one of those.

I share the sentiment.

See, it's not actually amusing to everyone. I know that's a real hard concept. :P

I still maintain that forcing what ought to be a voluntary thing on everyone violates the spirit of it anyways.

Pirates don't ask opinions.  They foist themselves on whomever they please. :p

Avast! I thought ye were skipping this fine day! No, go skip it! Venture outside and smell yonder buttercups!

Incidentally, my eyepatch is starting to play with my distance vision. Awesome! :D

The internet. It's serious business.

I basically have to wait a day before I can read up on some things because it's too annoying to try and figure it out.

At least it's not as bad as April Fools.  :doubt:

Funny the first time; tiresome and disruptive ever since.  It's like having a friend who tells one joke over and over, patently refusing to find new material.

You may say we lack a sense of humor, but I say you lack originality.

You lack tolerance. If you don't like the pirate syntax, take a break from HLP for its duration, or use another form of communication. :p

Oh no, a whole 24 hours.  Such an undue hardship.

And seriously, it's not that hard to read.  Just replace a few apostrophes with actual letters, ignore the grog references, and you're set.

You may say we lack a sense of humor, but I say you lack originality.
I've never once claimed to be original.  In fact, I often find old jokes to be the most amusing. And it's the once-a-year scarcity of this particular joke that prevents it from getting stale.

We don't need two topics discussing about pirate filter. Go to the one in gen disc if you want to discuss about it.
