No surprises there, it's about where most of my debate points sway to anyway.

I think it might have changed.  I don't care enough to go check.

And once again, I really hate the lack of "no opinion" or "neither."

This coordinate scheme puts economic views on the horizontal axis, social views on the vertical. Leftist=more regulation of industry, libertarian=liberal social policy. I believe the Libertarian party in the US would fall somewhere in the lower right of this chart.

Yep. Because of the somewhat unique way in which American politics is calibrated, those of us who fall under the category of "left-libertarian" are faced with the choice between grudgingly using a term that implies to most people a set of views we actually find abhorrent, or employing alternate labels not commonly used in the US, like "social democrat."

Isn't the libertarian party only in favor of individuals' choices/freedoms when individuals are only afforded the choices they themselves would make?

I don't think that's unique to Libertarians. I just have a basic ideological beef with anyone who advocates a hands-off approach to questions of public welfare and economic regulation.

It's like they forgot the company towns and child labor and all the other horrible things that went with not having enough regulation.

From the descriptions you've given it sounds like they'd be right up against the right hand side of the graph, no idea about up or down, but yea the graph....you need to read a lot of the text that goes with it :P

Social conservatives prefer fascism. They just don't recognize it as fascism because they're largely unaffected except they don't have to put up with people who disagree with them.

The rub is that enough regulation to curb that type of business is far less than the left would like to see.  You can regulate your economy into the ground and it won't be enough for some people.

Well, if it helps, I usually play Chaotic Good in D&D.  It's where I end up usually anyway, even if I start as something else.

No surprise there, although part of the problem is that I'm an anarchist at heart, but I'm also a pragmatist, so really as long as the system works and reasonably minimizes legal and economic oppression, then I'm fine with it.

I'm not going to bother doing this again, as my results are probably back in the other thread.  I somehow wound up on the left side of the y-axis, which made me question the thing's validity somewhat. :p
