Title: Anyone know where I can find a copy of Derelict Retail?
Post by: Boct1584 on September 24, 2009, 01:05:52 pm: I lost my copy of it in a reformat awhile back, and my video card doesn't like the SCP, so that's not an option.

Doubt it... pretty sure this version uses SCP features (in-mission texture replacement at the very least).

Post by: FreeSpaceFreak on September 25, 2009, 01:14:20 pm: Aardwolf, try deleting data/cache from your main FS2 folder, and from the mediavps one if present there. I think it means you didn't put it in its own mod folder before you started playing.

You don't need to use the MediaVPs at all. You can only use a SCP build without any graphic effect. It is like retail fs2, only that it can use scp-features, but have the same requirement as the 1999 version.

I have an on-board Intel video card, and FS2Open invariably crashes about five minutes after I run it whether I'm in Direct3D or OpenGL mode. I don't have the money for a better video card, and even if I did, I can't get my computer online to download FS2Open again because my parents are hyper-paranoid that I'd look at porn, so I can only use their system.

http://www.game-warden.com/viewarticle.php?articleid=31 appears to have it, but the download link seems to be broken.

Post by: Akalabeth Angel on October 01, 2009, 04:25:59 am: Who cares what is age is. I suggest Mongoose throw it on FSMods. I'm sure some other people may be interested in trying it out as well. Not everyone is running FSOpen oddly enough.

No, it's my real age. I haven't been able to move out because it seems every time I get close, I lose my job or something equally dramatic. Also, my parents are Christian and object to porn on that basis.
