Hi guys. I believe i have installed all Vps and everything else correctly. I can play FS1 and 2 and S Tr.
There are some things though im not sure is working properly.
First the ships. Now.. they have proper lights and stuff. However, it does seem that they are still very dark where the lights on the hull arent near. Is this as its suppose to be?
Also there are a few bugs i've encountered in the game so far in FS1 which is in the 4th training which teaches you how to use commends and user countermeasures. The bugs was. I had to order the epsilon wing twice to disable my target. And when i had to learn to use countermeasures the big ship that entered wouldnt fire on me but simply just stood still and after some time, when the instructor told so, it departed.
This is normal and are the only bugs? Or can i do something to solve these and perhaps in the future bugs?

What version do you have of FSO, the MediaVPs and FSPort?
-
Make sure you get the patch for the mediavps (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=65038.msg1288578#msg1288578). It will fix the "missions are too dark" error, as well as a few crash issues with other missions.
-
Um, the versions i use are 3.6.10 and 3.1.1, not sure what the mediavp versions are.
I'll try the patch. Thanks!

Well, if there's a file "MV_Assets.vp" in your mediavps folder, you're probably using the right ones :)
The 4th training mission is a bit buggy indeed, has something to do with the Interceptor, amongst other things, AFAIK. Don't bother too much, the rest of the campaign should play like a marvel.

Uh, what? And nobody put that in to FSU Mantis, why?
-
Because it's an FSPort issue.
-
And TBH, I only know I had the issue in the previous version. Apparently it's still in though.

And FSU Mantis is just as fine a place to Report FSPort issues as well. We currently have some FSPort reports there already.
