Title: Environment mapping,
Post by: Reprobator on October 05, 2009, 03:16:03 am
I may have missed an episode or two but in fred's background menu i saw a (i never seen before) option about environement map.
What effect it has? how does it works? and how does it looks like when you use it?

Doesn't it auto-generate one if you don't specify one?

Or am I just being hopeful?

the game does auto-generate an env map, however in some cases you can specify a cube map to override the game generated one for whatever reason you may have. i kinda wouldnt mine being able to specify custom cube maps on a per texture basis, for cockpit model, docking bays, and other interior geometry.
