Since FS2 first came out, I had always dreamed of an expansion pack to the main FS2 campaign. The demo missions were nice, but they were just a warm up in my view. For some crazy reason, I didn't know until I glanced through my old FS2 strategy guide that some of the official Volition MP maps not only had additional story missions against the Shivans, but also full voice briefings! I quickly finished the missions against the Nosferatu and Chemosh, and I was wondering what the other official MP missions were. I have FS2 Open so I can't really tell which missions are official and which aren't. Is there a list of the missions somewhere? And do they all have voice acting?

The multiplayer missions have no real relevance to the story. Most of them do have Voice acting, though.
If you want to see which missions are "official", use maja or VPVIEW to open up root_fs2.vp, and take a look at the missions directory.

No, but it was interesting to see the kinds of things the GTVA was up to when Alpha 1 wasn't around. The Corvette rescue mission in particular was hell (FINALLY gave me a reason to take EMP missiles) but it was rewarding to finish it.
Plus it was just soothing to hear more dialog from Command that I didn't have memorized. :P

There are 11 official co-op missions with story content, M-01 through M-07 along with the four Templar missions. The ones marked "b" are updated versions. Templar actually has an interesting story, although the missions themselves are not that great for co-op play.
There is one additional mission (M-09) that was apparently cut from the game, but the voice files for it are in stu_fs2.vp.

Did anything ever come of the thread about trying to re-create that mission based on the voice files?

The strange thing is that someone did have it (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=43557.0), but I still have no idea how he got it or where to get the original, unmodified copy. :p

We used some story content from FS1 multiplayer for Silent Threat: Reborn. Specifically, the GTSC Ragnarok and Serkr bomb from mdmm-02.

By updated do you mean patched? Were there balance problems in the missions?
