Jaywalking (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaywalking)
For those who don't get it, this is a sarcastic response to the locking of that thread about torrent sites.
-
Wow, you went through with it.
Anyway, I don't.
-
Wait, what?
-
Depends on the street really.
-
Well on a street I keep to the crosswalks and only cross at the designated times. On-campus, anything goes. Even if there's a car trying to use the road.
-
Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking.
-
People. . . don't . . . jaywalk?
Ever?
-
If there is a cross walk I use it, but thats pretty much because if you almost run me down I'm going to kick your car as it passes by.
-
i jay walk all the time its traditional and i blame it on my country of birth .... England, unless the law has changed it used to say that the pedestrion has the right of way even if thay are a stupid suicidal idiot ....
-
what i like to do is go through the crosswalk on a red, thin hit the button on the other side to **** with the traffic. i aint about to go out of my way by 5 minutes to find a crosswalk when i can just dodge my way through traffic.
-
The road at my house is six lanes wide (not counting the lane-wide median) and usually so empty, you could film a music video on the road without cordoning it off. The nearest traffic lights are at least a kilometre away.
-
Based on the replies to this thread, most of you deserve to burn in eternal Hellfire. Just, sayin'.
-
Cross-walks are lame.
MEN dodge traffic
-
I always do it
not waiting to that green man, ages down the road....
Frak it, drivers can simply slow down
anyhow, its not a crime to 'jay walk' over here.
-

MEN dodge traffic
that's only wussies.
REAL MEN JUMP OVER THE STREET!

NO U :beamz:
-
I don't even think it's against the law around here. It's pretty much pedestrians have the right away in Ohio so if you hit someone you get sued unless they don't make it. There are ordinances against it but it's city to city and I haven't seen one yet where it's been enforced.

In that case, should the second option be "Yes, I jaywalk, but I will deny it even if you put a 30mm Avenger Cannon to my head"? :p
-
*SNUFFLEUPAGUS DEMANDS INCLUSION IN THIS JAYWALKING NONSENSE*
Also, srsly? People jaywalk in these parts all the time. You got places to go, **** to do, people to see. Who gives a damn if the shortest path from A to B happens to have a road in the way?
-
I generally use marked crossings.
I will jaywalk, but only if there's no crossing nearby AND there's little ot no traffic (meaning I can casually walk over the street and any incoming car will still be 100m away)
-
im evil about it, in some places i cross holding up a large rock, ready to go through the face of any driver that doesnt slow the **** down.
-
If you can dodge traffic, you can dodge a ball
-
Every time I jaywalk Goober Closes the road :(
-
So I've been granted 2 nonsense options? I wonder what the record for nonsense options added by moderators/admins is...
-
I drive everywhere, so there is no reason to cross streets
-
Wait, what?
My line, dammit!
-
I used to avoid J-walking, until I got to college. It's impossible to NOT j-walk here (or violate 15 traffic laws when you're on your bike).
-
I walk like I own the damn road and I'm worse on a bike. Hey though, this is Canada, people here stop. Am I a bad person just because I exploit th... wait.
Don't answer that.
-
"Three"?
-
I've Jaywalked all over The UK from hastings to Loch Lomond, Regent street to stoke on trent.
Jaywalking is fun. But I don't think it's illegal here. . .
Stupid topic :p

agreed. if they tried to make it a crime in ireland or the UK people would just laugh at the government. Then again, we do have some stupid laws already....
