Title: My First Freespace SCP HD video on youtube

More are on the way, is hard since im recording them in RAW, them transcoding them to upload, and all of my programs have a big trouble in handling those big video files (50GB for 10m).

By now i can only transcode them to wmv9 using Super video converter, and is does not allow me to use more than 6000 bitrate, resulting in a loss of quality, even in 720p resolution.

Ooh, that looks pretty good for a youtube vid.

On an unrelated note, just saw Battuta's "Bike hero" vid. :D

Seeing the their finest hour again really reminds me how retarded the Colossus death was. "Blablblahwe'llholdemoffBLARGHWEAREDEAD". In that vid he couldn't even finish his sentence before they were dead. Yeah, you really gave the bastion a lot of extra time there mate.

Interesting to see how you manage your wingmen btw.

Does it really look pretty, or something you'd want to fraps with? on those youtube vids with the compression it even looks like it bleeds into space(colour) ;p

Compared to pure white(with the lights on) or even the blue hud :<?

Exactly the kind of HUD I would use. Interesting to see how others play. :)

He who rides the tiger and Chasing Shadows are on the way.

I'm really impressed witch the youtube HD Quality, i mean, what i do is record the video with zd screen recorder uncompressed, so I'm sure i don't have quality loss. Those videos are big, seriously. 75GB for 15m, but the quality is perfect.

Them i use Super video encoder(the only one that can handle those BIG files without hanging) to transcode the videos for upload, i was trying with every format out there... WMV9 proven to have a decent quality, but for some reason Super only allowed me to use 6000kbps of bitrate, resulting in quality loss, specially in Bearbaiting.

Since i have some problems witch the codecs, WMV9 was the only format i could use, and "Return to Ross 128" was encoded to WMV9, and them uploaded to youtube.

I tried with almost every format out there, some resulted in good quality and unshaven video size (.M2TS Blueray is an example), other resulted in lame quality.

Until i finally made the .AVI H.264/AVC encoder to work properly again, so the rest of the videos where encoded to .AVI H.264/AVC in 9600kbps bitrate, the final video size is about 750MB for 10m, but the quality is just excellent, it looks just as good as it was the uncompressed video.

Them youtube recoded them to their own format (with it should result in a small video file for sure), with a very small quality loss, I'm officially impressed.

BTW, i used the blue HUD for a while, but i retuned to the green one... i think we really need new HUDs and cockpits.
