Title: Alpha Centauri- Sids one

I've never played it before. . . Ever! But i'm currently in a lan game with my youngest bro as some swedish pirates and i'm doing ok. But i've not read the pdf manual. Where's my resource at?

I'm still no clearer on the buildy bits apart from going to my base and "changing" wehat's already queued up. No idea how my economy is fuelled. But i allied with "Spartan" women ;7 and proceeded to attack the Cyran wannabe bird.

you playing alien crossfire expansion?

if you have played the Civilization games hes worked on prior to his split from microprose then

Nutrients = Food = population growth
Production = Self explanatory
Energy = Trade = Money

click on a city to manage it

when you gain a tech that gives you a unit technology you get 1 or more "standard" units that use it but you can develop additional units that use the technology depending our your strategy.

If the Spartans are AI controlled watch for them turning on you they are the most militaristic and aggressive faction in the game.

in the city management you can click around the map to move where you are gathering resources from, you can gather from more squares the bigger your city grows

I got bored by turn 82.

I'll have to try the single player campaign at some point.

Personally I found the game very rewarding especially when you get to the point where the planetary council is formed and you can mess with sea levels and lob planet busters about
