Title: Afterburners not working

The afterburners do not work. I had designated it as Tab.

Although when I press Tab at a speed lower than the max speed of ship, it will go up to only the max speed of the ship with no additional boost. with no drain to afterburner energy.

All other parts of the game work.

How should I fix this?

Are you using Fs2_Open?

In the short term, just run the game in Windows 98 compatibility mode. But, seriously, just get FS2_Open and the MediaVPs, the graphical boost will be well worth your while.
