So...I just realized something incredible - when this mod is released, I could build a full fledged X-Wing simulator!

FsO supports widescreen resolutions via Hor+ and full aspect ratio control, as well as head tracking via Freetrack.  So....with this software:

 FSO + FotG mod
 Freetrack (http://www.free-track.net/english/)

 and this Hardware:

 Matrox TripleHead2Go (http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php/TH2Go_FAQ)
 3x 40" LCD TV screens
 Surround Sound Speakers
Saitek Flight Control system and pedals
Car seat pulled from a salvage yard?
 Lots of 2x4 and plywood

Hmm....it's probably a really good thing I don't have the kind of money to build this kind of thing...because I would.  And then I'd want to build several of them together, network them all, and have giant squadron-sized skirmishes.  I wonder if I could make money off of that?  Hmmm....

:jaw: that could be rather awesome, but i doubt it would be that profitable.
MAYBE selling the setup as a kit to people online, give them everything minus the PC they need to set it up...

It can be profitable if you just sell time on it, that's what MekTek does with their pods.  Although they're a bit more involved than that.  However they wouldn't mind working with us on getting FSO capable of running in their pods.
