My friend gave me Generals (with Zero Hour) the other day, as he'd finished playing it. I installed it. Tried to run it. the image shows up to tell me it's starting (the image that covers the middle of your desktop with the game's artwork). And then the program stops responding. I installed Zero Hour, get to the image, then the process and image dissapear.
I'm running XP with a dual core machine, which are two things that have caused problems with games in the past. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

Have you tried patching to 1.4 or whatever the number is? I think that happened to me and the patch solved it.

Yeah, try patching. Though I never had problems with the game...
If all fails, try fully uninstaling and then installing again.

Compatibility mode, Latest Direct X, Video drivers blah blah... Or check planetc&c.com for fixes

Have you bought the add-on pack 'zero hour' that might give it the edge you need to play it

Well, patching it worked. Forgot to let you know. Fixed it the same day as my post.
