This is actually made to unveil my latest model, the HMS Star Knight:

pwetty! :yes::yes:
What's HMS stand for? His/Her Majesty's Ship? :D
-
Yep. It's from the Honor Harrington books, so it would be Her Majesty's Ship. It's a heavy cruiser with one nasty torpedo broadside...
-
 I wasn't serious...I was just thinking of England's Royal Navy and...:jaw:
wow. I guessed right. ;)
-
Britians royal Navy :p. Rule britianna....
-
britiana rules the waves
(or used to along time ago =( and now we are a third rate power when we used to controle the largest empire in known history thats so unfair )

Go giant U.S. aircraft carriers and quiet submarines! ;)
ermmmm...heh heh
*runs*

SAS rule. We aint the biggest, but were the best.
-
Back on topic, what does everyone else think of the ship?
-
I cant really see the ship, need more angles.
-
OK, I'll post a pic with more angles tommorow.
-
Arg, i'll have to wait till 6pm. Hopefully we'll be getting 24 soon.
-
NM, you can have a crappy Modelview and MSPaint collage now:

-
mmh, basic, to say the least :p
-
Sorry, but that ship doesn't look like Devid Weber's descriptions of the Honorverse ships. They're always cylindrical with protusions at the tips where the node clusters are located. A full description would take too long...
-
I know. I actually based it off a cover shot (http://www.3dap.com/hlp/hosted/gtdwolf/pics/skmships.gif), and I'll probably rename it later...

Yeah, this (http://www.honor-harrington.com/wall4-800.jpg) is way that DW describes them. Kinda boring, actually. Great books, though.

I actually prefer the cover art. Much better looking in my opinion. However, reading the section in back of "A Short Victorious War" explains the whole rationale for the other design.

Me, too. Although the ships I like the best are the ones on the covers of in "In Death Ground" and "The Shiva Option"

Nah, SEALs are better. :D
On topic: I like the untextured views too, it's very nice.

Thanks. It's poly-count is actually amazingly low (~60). Admittedly it would be ~120 triangulated, but it's still quite a bit of detail considering this. Weld does wonders :p And this ship is a product of Blender.
